Beacon Rock Study (unframed, 5x7)
Beacon Rock Study
oil on panel, 5×7
2024
Beacon Rock is a giant monolith near the Columbia River in Washington. My first memory of Beacon Rock was climbing its switchbacks at five years old. Before it became a state park, it was scheduled to be destroyed to provide rock material for a jetty. Can you believe that? I enjoyed painting this peaceful scene on an early spring day this year. This original painting comes ready for the frame of your choice and wrapped in glassine paper and tied with a gold bow.
