The Lark Ascending (4 x 6.5")

$1,200.00
sold out

This painting was inspired by the David Austin rose with the same name growing in our yard. These roses do something magical with the light. On first glance they are an ethereal peach color and then they change ever so slightly revealing greens, yellows, and purples. The Lark Ascending was painted on linen and then adhered to a custom panel and mounted in a custom frame from Rhett Ashby. The painting measures approximately 4×6.5” and the frame is approximately 13.5×16”. This piece was painted using an indirect method with layers and a mixture of opaque and transparent paint to create depth and luminosity within the flowers.

This original painting comes with a certificate of authenticity and is framed/wired and wrapped beautifully in glassine paper.
